Dr Duong Van Ni explains to students at the College of environment & Natural Resources Department of Can Tho University the issues facing the Mekong Delta. Several years ago, Dr Ni and his team created this simple test kit that would help farmers test the salinity of the water before irrigating their rice fields or shrimp farms. Due to the reduced flow of the Mekong Delta and increased sea level of the ocean due to Climate Change increased salinity is a growing problem in the delta.
