Zakon w Serbii - Redux
Monastery Abbess, Agripini (39), stands before the chapel at the Serbian Orthodox monastery of Kovilje. Founded in the 12th century and dedicated to the Archangel Gabriel, with later additions dedicated to St. Nicholas, the isolated rural monastery is home to currently nine women. Recruits ("Novices") to monastery life - throughout the Balkans - have dropped significantly in recent years. Reasons, say those in robes, stem from today's fast-past world and desire among youth for a more "open" and "mobile" lifestyle.
