The exterior gabled sections are now clad in grey painted weatherboarding which is typical of the area and provides a contrast to the brick. The original central gable was raised to accommodate a double height galleried entrance hall and the master bedroom suite in what was formerly loft space. The bedroom was designed to take advantage of the view - the bed placed centrally faces folding glass doors which open onto the balcony and a panoramic view of the countryside.? A new-build barn-like structure at the western end of the building replaced the garage and kitchen/utility areas.?
