(NYT) CHICAGO -- Jan. 16, 2008 -- CHICAGO-PRESERVATION-3 -- The two-story living room in the Chicago home of Richard Driehaus has silver walls, a massive fireplace and two sets of panels from an Art Deco ocean liner in January 2008. Driehaus, 65, is the founder of Driehaus Capital Management, a $4 billion-plus investment firm with its headquarters in an elaborately restored 19th-century mansion just west of Chicago's Michigan Avenue shopping district. Over the last decade, Driehaus has emerged as one of the city's leading advocates for both Classical architecture and historic preservation. (William Zbaren/The New York Times)
