(NYT46) THREE OAKS, Mich. -- Dec. 20, 2007 -- THEATER-HOME-5 -- The interior of the Acorn Theater in Three Oaks, Mich., Nov. 16, 2007. All the world may be a stage, but would you want your second home to be one? Kim Clark and David Fink do. When the two men were looking for a retreat from their lives in Chicago a few years ago, they fell for an old, rundown factory that once made featherbones -- the lightweight corset bone made from the quills of birds -- in Three Oaks, Mich. And, to hear them tell it, before they knew what was happening, their dream of a weekend getaway with room for guests blossomed into the Acorn Theater, a performance space that leans toward the experimental.
