(NYT59) NEW YORK -- June 9, 2006 -- NY-FALLS-BAR-CLOSING -- A crowd watches as NYPD police officers shutter the Falls, a SoHo bar, Friday, June 9, 2006 that gained notoriety after a bouncer who worked at the bar was accused of killing graduate student Imette St. Guillen after she went to the bar in February. The authorities, who took action under the city's nuisance abatement laws, charged that employees of the bar sold liquor to minors at least three times this year and served alcohol after hours. In addition, they charged, the bar was the subject of numerous complaints about noise and disorderly conduct, and violations with the state's liquor authority. (Cary Conover/The New York Times)
