(NYT10) NEW YORK -- Feb. 25, 2002 -- WTC-ATTACK-ANNIVERSARY-2 -- Smoke billows frmthe entrance to the garage underneath the World Trade Center in 1993 after a terrorist bombing. Nine years ago, terrorists detonated a Ryder truck filled with 1,200 pounds of explosives in the basement of the trade center killing five men and a pregnant woman. More than 1,000 people were injured.Six Islamic militants were convicted in the bombing, and sentenced to life in prison.
