(NYT38) ST. LOUIS -- Feb. 16, 2005 -- ST-LOUIS-SYMPHONY -- Heidi Harris, concertmaster of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, with her husband Erik Harris at her son's preschool in St. Louis in February. All the St. Louis Symphony is playing are the blues. The orchestra has been locked out for weeks. Meanwhile, the orchestra said it had lost more than $700,000 in revenue. True, it has saved on paying six weeks of salary, but the strike is a blow to the orchestra as it struggles to regain its financial footing three years after teetering toward bankruptcy.
