(NYT15) BEIRUT, Lebanon -- March 1, 2005 -- LEBANON-3 -- Lebanese students converge on Beirut's Martyrs Square, Tuesday, March 1, 2005. Thousands of students of all ages met on Martyrs Square during their lunch break on Tuesday as part of an organized campaign to continue pressing for the withdrawal of Syrian troops from Lebanon. Pressure on both the government and Syria has risen steadily since the car-bomb assassination of Hariri two weeks ago, for which government opponents blame Syria.
