(NYT40) NEW YORK -- May 1, 2005 -- BBA-YANKEES-BLUE-JAYS -- New York Yankees relief pitcher Mike Stanton, center, gave up two runs in the seventh inning that put the Toronto Blue Jays ahead to stay and pinned him with the loss at Yankee Stadium on Sunday, May 1, 2005. The Yankees used six pitchers and twice lost a lead as Toronto rallied for an 8-6 victory to take two of the three games in the weekend series. The Yankees (10-15) have lost six of their nine series this season, with one tie. They also hobbled away from a nine-game homestand in which they mustered three victories.
