(NYT58) SAO PAULO, Brazil -- June 23, 2004 -- BRAZIL-ARMORED-CARS -- Workers apllying aramid composite to be placed in a car so its armored as they assemble the armored cars at Inbra Blindados in Maua, State of Sao Paulo, Brazil, June 4, 2004. While violent crime continues to plague Brazil's biggest cities, armored car sales have been declining here for two years. So to keep their business humming, makers of these cars are turning to the export market -- becoming just the latest of many industries to look beyond Brazil's borders for growth. And perhaps no region is more attractive as a market for armored cars than the Middle East -- especially Iraq. (Paulo Fridman/The New York Times) *LITE
