(NYT41) HOUSTON -- March 12, 2003 -- PEANUT-ALLERGY-DRUG -- Tiny Tanox Inc. should be on the verge of triumph. A drug it developed made headlines this week when it was shown to blunt peanut allergies, protecting people who could die after eating even a fraction of a peanut. But the future of the drug is now in doubt because of a series of legal disputes dating back more than ten years. And the husband-and-wife scientists who started Tanox, a Houston-based biotechnology company, may find that even if the drug does reach the market, most of the revenue will go to other companies.
