(NYT28) NEW YORK -- March 8, 2003 -- BROADWAY-STRIKE-3 -- With the musician's strike on Broadway continuing Saturday, March 8, 2003, the streets surrounding Broadway were empty as well. The two sides in the Broadway labor battle -- the producers and the musicians union -- do not agree on much, and as of Saturday morning, March 8, 2003, they remained far apart on the divisive issue of how many musicians should play in an orchestra pit. Both sides and many Broadway observers do agree on one thing: It all went terribly wrong terribly quickly. (Richard Perry/The New York Times)
