(NYT13) NEW YORK -- Jan. 23, 2003 -- IRAQ-WOLFOWITZ -- Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz talking to the Council on Foreign Relations in New York City, Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003. Saddam Hussein has ordered death for Iraqi scientists who cooperate with U.N. weapons inspectors, Wolfowitz said Thursday in his speech that further reflected the Bush administration's deep distrust of the Baghdad regime. "Today, we know from multiple sources that Saddam has ordered that any scientist who cooperates during interviews will be killed, as well as their families," he said.
