(NYT7) NEW YORK -- Feb. 24, 2003 -- COMEDY-FILM-AWARDS -- At the annual U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colo. on Saturday, Mar. 1, 2003, some of the nation's funniest filmmakers will put on their own award show for their own movies, complete with the red-carpet treatment. Dubbed the Comedy Film Honors, the awards are the result of what organizers call a serious lack of appreciation for the art of the filmic comedy. Chris Weitz, left, and Paul Weitz, brothers who wrote and directed the comedy film "About a Boy.'' "About a Boy'' will have won the first-ever Best Studio Comedy Comedy Film Honor at the show. The Weitz brothers in Manhattan on Feb. 20, 2002. (Chester Higgins Jr./The New York Times)
