(NYT13) WARWICK, R.I. -- Feb. 23, 2003 -- RI-CLUB-FIRE-3 -- Family members of victims of The Station nightclub fire mourn at a memorial tent set up in front the charred remains of the club, Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003. For days, they've lived with the video images of their relatives jammed in the doorway of a burning nightclub, many screaming in terror as they struggled in vain to break free. On Sunday, for the first time, the parents, siblings and children of the victims who couldn't escape the fire were allowed to walk up to the remains of the nightclub to pray and say goodbye.
