(NYT19) UNDATED-- Nov. 13, 2002 -- SAVANNAH-FILM-FEST -- Three short films shown at the Savannah Film and Video Festival in late October and early November reflected a desire to portray the cultural impact of figures who are deadeningly familiar but at the same time distant and enigmatic. Most of the film, "Einstein's Playground,'' directed by Matthew Heckerling, a 17-minute meditation on the physicist takes place after Einstein's death, and follows a fictional assistant on a series of surreal adventures.
