An owl looks acrobatic as it balances on the tuft of a plant. The little owl was looking for insects drawn to fluid expelled by the wild carrot plant in Sgula near Kiryat Gat, Israel. David Manusevich said, "I was waiting for some time, I know their way of behaviour and if I hear their screams I try to find them hiding in the bushes and between stones, these owls live in caves and they fly out from the caves to find food, usually early morning or evening and night. They feel the presence of something or somebody and so I had to move carefully. If they understand there is no danger then I'm then able to move closer." "I created an understanding with these owls and they accepted me because they realised I wouldn't hurt them. The plants have some kind of liquid that attracts insects. Owls eat such insects, which constitute 80% of their diet. So they try to catch insects inside the plants, that’s why the owls were pictured in these acrobatic poses as they ate the bugs." "I like to take photos of them because it’s interesting for me to watch their habits, their look and emotions. To take such pictures you have to be cautious, quiet, and have patience to wait for them to come closer, sometimes it takes a lot of time and of course, there are cases when nothing happens and you don’t take any interesting pictures."
