Transmission electron micrograph of multivesicular bodies in human epididymal epithelium. This image facilitates easy comparison of dense lysosomes with a typical multivesicular body. The pits in the surface of the multivesicular body suggest that vesicles in the interior may form by invagination and budding off from the limiting membrane.
