Transmission electron micrograph of an orthochromatic erythroblast (normoblast) from guinea pig bone marrow. The erythroblast is at an advanced stage of nuclear condensation, which explains the scarcity of interchromosomal nucleoplasm. This image also shows a diminished number of polyribosomes.
