(091114) -- SHENYANG, Nov. 14, 2009 -- Da Ping, a 14-year-old orphan, blows the ocarina as his foster father Ji Fuzhong looks on in Shenyang, northeast China's Liaoning Province, Oct. 30, 2009.
Da Ping was deserted by his parents in 1995 after his birth because he was morbid with congenital spina bifida, with both legs bent to coil and unable to walk. He became an orphan and then was brought to a local orphanage. He senses immense heartfelt comforts here with the social solicitudes, however, he has always been yearning for family love and affection.
Da Ping was sent to the family of Jin Fuzhong, a oboe player with the Liaoning Opera Troupe, in 2004, when he was 9-year-old, together with some 20 orphans.
Since Da Ping settles in Jin's home, he has been always considerately taken care of in every details, "I never saw my parents who gave birth to me, but here I possess a big family with father and many siblings, and I have an endeared family life feeling and asmosphere," as Da Ping says.
Jin Fuzhong makes unremitting efforts to enlighten the orphans' talents with his music education, in a bid to enable every orphans to have a good command of an expertise in one specialty. Under his instruction, now Da Ping has become skillful in playing clarinet, Saxophone, and ocarina. He feels intoxicated as blowing the tune of Beijing Welcomes You, and enjoyed the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and Paralympics and got excited and cheered for the athletes.
Da Ping says his most cherished dream is to become a musician to follow the example of his philanthropic father when he grow up. Ren Yong) (px)
