Holocaust survivor Eva Erban poses at her home in the southern Israeli city of Ashkelon, on december 5, 2024. Eva Erben was born in October 24, 1930 in Decin, Czechoslovakia. In December 1941 Eva and her parents were sent to the Theresienstadt (Terezin) ghetto, where they lived until their deportation to Auschwitz-Birkenau in 1944. From Auschwitz-Birkenau, Eva and her mother were sent to a labor camp and later taken on death marches. Eva has three children, nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
