Ferran Adria, controversial Catalan chef of famed 'elBulli' (bulldog) restaurant in Rosas, near Cadaques, Spain, poses at the hotel de Sers in Paris, France on April 7, 2009. Adria is on promotional tour for his book 'A Day at El Bulli ', in which he reveals for the first time his technical secrets and food philosophy. Ferran Adria has been described as the best chef on the planet, and his restaurant, elBulli, has 3 Michelin stars and is ranked the best restaurant in the world for the fourth time this year by Restaurant Magazine. It receives over two million requests for 8,000 places each year.
