FRANCE: An American armourer loads the machine guns on a North American P-51B Mustang Fighter stationed in Italy. The aircraft was armed with six 0.5in fixed forward-firing machine guns housed in the leading edges of the wings. It could also carry an external bombload of 2,000lbs (907kg).
