The three French professors that were jointly awarded the 1965 Nobel Peace Prize for Physiology and Medicine, congratulate each other outside the Institute Pasteur in Paris, France, after learning of their award, Oct. 14, 1965. They won the award for their discoveries in genetic control of enzyme and virus synthesis, which may lead to eventual cure in cancer and tuberculosis.
