A crew member is examining a red substance that could be blood of the handicapped Jewish-American passenger, Leon Klinghoffer killed during the hijacking of the Achille Lauro, on October 10, 1985 in Port Said harbor after Egyptian authorities stopped it from sailing to the Israeli port of Ashdod. Achille Lauro was seized by a commando of the Palestine Liberation Front (PLF) of Abu Abbas who organized the hijacking off the Egyptian coast on October 07, 1985 taking its 450 passengers hostages. A handicapped Jewish-American passenger, Leon Klinghoffer, was killed by commando chief Youssef Majed al-Molqi and thrown overboard.
