The shooting happened at about 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday after De Vries appeared on RTL Boulevard, an entertainment TV show. A video circulating on social media showed him lying motionless on the street, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. De Vries is known for his involvement in the investigation of the mysterious disappearance of American Natalee Holloway in Aruba.
