Neither have dental insurance and cannot afford to pay for it on their own. "I want all of my teeth pulled," says Gravley, "they're all hurting me." She ended up having several pulled by volunteer dentist Mark Copas. "I've done foreign volunteer missions before," says Copas, "but never domestic. These cases are just as bad as what I've seen in third world countries."
