AP Historical Hard Drive 2009
The second period of the game opened with a rush with Dartmouth carrying the ball down the field to the 25-yard line where the good toe of Morton put the ball over the posts for a field goal. The photograph shows Morton as he booted the three points. Spectators at the Yale Bowl at New Haven, Conn. on Oct. 31, 1931 were given enough thrills to last a life-time as they watches their favorite stars romp through the game almost at will. But the score ended 33 to 33 and Dartmouth had succeeded, partly at least, in overcoming the old Yale Bowl, jinx. (AP Photo)
