William Randolph Hearst, Jr., editor-in-chief of the Hearst Newspapers, proved a quick man on pulling off his overshoes while visiting President Kennedy in his White House office, Washington on Feb. 9, 1961. During the visit, photographers were called in and Hearst swung into action to remove the overshoes. He almost made it Kennedy announced that Hearst has been reappointed chairman of the President???s Committee for Traffic Safety. (AP Photo)
