An explosive charge set by British Army Sappers in a 90 year-old windmill overlooking the Montefiore section of Jerusalem, on April 15, 1948, blasts the top of the structure. Haganah troops had used the windmill for a Military post and had constructed an observation tower atop of it. Constant Rifle and Mortar fire from Arab Forces Aimed at the tower endangered demand for its removal. British sappers did the job after Haganah???s efforts were un successful.
