Dr. John Harvey Kellogg, 90, pictured here on August 11, 1942 is still leader of the famous Battle Creek, Mich., sanitarium which made Battle Creek the 'Health City of the World,' and is energetically revamping the physical setup of his institution to help along the war effort. A few weeks ago the government bought the main building of the sanitarium $2,000,000 as a war casualty hospital, moving in a staff of 700 on August 1. Dr. Kellogg, who despite his age runs a quarter a mile every morning, is going on with his institution in a group of buildings that were withheld from the sale. (AP Photo)
