Lt. Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr., son of the former Ambassador to England, is shown in an undated photo. He was killed in the premature explosion of a four-engined, radio-controlled flying bomb October 24, 1945. The bomb, a PB4Y Liberator laden with explosives, was headed towards a buzz-bomb launching site in Normandy when it blew up from an unknown cause before Lt. Kennedy and a companion, also killed, were scheduled to bail out. (AP Photo)
