(NYT85) NEW YORK -- July 18, 2007 -- NY-EXPLOSION-10 -- A police officer looks on as steam rises into the sky near Grand Central Station in midtown Manhattan, Wednesday, July 18, 2007 after a steam explosion tore through a Manhattan street. The explosion which occured during the evening rush hour sent residents running for cover amid a plume of steam and debris.
