(NYT94) MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- Aug. 1, 2007 -- MINN-BRIDGE-COLLAPSE-5 -- Damaged vehicles and a school bus on a collapsed portion of the Interstate 35W bridge, an interstate highway bridge in downtown Minneapolis, which stretches between Minneapolis and St. Paul, Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007. The bridge collapsed and dropped more than 60 feet into the Mississippi River during evening rush hour, Wednesday. The collapse sent at least 50 cars and passengers into the water below.
