FILE -- (NYT24) JERUSALEM -- June 28, 2007 -- ISRAEL-KATSAV-2 -- President Moshe Katsav of Israel left the podium after issuing denials of allegations of rape and other sex crimes, Jan. 24, 2007 in Jersualem. Katsav agreed to resign by signing an unexpected plea bargain on Thursday, June 28, 2007, that includes no jail time.
