(NYT27) NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Oct. 5, 2005 -- LOUISIANA-SYMPHONY -- Mollie Paate, back to camera, talking with Ryan Kamm, Oct. 5, 2005, before a concert in Nashville to raise money for members of the Louisiana Philharmonic. For a few days this week, a piece of the old New Orleans came back to life: the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra met, rehearsed and played music together for the first time since Hurricane Katrina scattered them like a spray of 16th notes. Traveling from around the country, the musicians gathered as guests of the Nashville Symphony Orchestra for a concert in their benefit. (Amy Dickerson/The New York Times)
