(NYT60) SAN FRANCISCO -- Feb. 24, 2005 -- PODCAST -- Odeo co-founders Noah Glass, right, and Evan Williams in their office in San Francisco on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005. The primarily amateur Internet audio medium known as podcasting will take a small, hopeful step toward becoming the commercial Web's next big thing on Friday. Odeo, a five person start-up, plans to introduce a Web-based system that is designed to make a business of the process of creating, finding, organizing and listening to digital audio file that range from livingroom ramblings to BBC newscasts.
