(NYT15) SIOUX CITY, Iowa -- Feb. 19, 2005 -- ANGEL-OF-AHLEM-2 -- Vernon Tott, of Sioux City, Iowa, displays a Kodak camera at his Sioux City, Iowa home, Feb. 17, 2005, similar to the one he used in 1945 to make photographs of Jewish survivors in Ahlem, a Nazi labor camp in Germany. After forgetting about the pictures, stored in a shoebox in his basement, for half a century, Tott has traveled to Germany and Poland in recent years on his search for survivors.
