(NYT4) MIAMI -- Feb. 5, 2005 -- JANITORS-UNION -- Norma Huamli in Miami Beach, Fla., Thursday, January 20, 2005. Huamli says she lost her $7-an-hour job for backing her union. The Service Employees International Union, the nation's fastest-growing labor union, is undertaking one of the largest private-sector organizing drives in the South in decades, seeking to represent 7,000 condominium workers, mostly immigrants, in the Miami area: janitors, concierges, parking valets, security guards and building engineers. (Richard Patterson/The New York Times) *EDS NOTE: Please note that NYTs 77 and 78 from Jan. 26, 2005 also moved for use with this story.
