(NYT43) TOKYO -- Feb. 11, 2005 -- JAPAN-SHINTO-PRIEST -- Toshiaki Nambu at the Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo on Jan. 24, 2005. After leading a salaryman's life for a quarter-century, commuting by train to his office at the world's largest advertising agency, Nambu left to run the family business. Another quarter-century passed before Act III unfolded in his life: at age 69, he became a Shinto priest. (Ko Sasaki/The New York Times)
