(NYT42) NEW YORK -- May 1, 2005 -- BBA-YANKEES-BLUE-JAYS-3 -- New York Yankees second baseman Tony Womack, leaps as he unsuccessfully attempts to complete a double play in the top of the eighth inning after forcing Toronto Blue Jays baserunner Reed Johnson out at Yankee Stadium in New York, May 1, 2005. The Yankees used six pitchers and twice lost a lead as Toronto rallied for an 8-6 victory to take two of the three games in the weekend series. The Yankees (10-15) have lost six of their nine series this season, with one tie. They also hobbled away from a nine-game homestand in which they mustered three victories.
