(NYT30) COLUMBUS, Ohio -- June 23, 2004 -- WRIGHT-HOMES-4 -- Verona Johnston, 113, and her daughter Julie Johnson, 81, left, in their Rush Creek home outside of Columbus, Ohio in April 2004. A rare enclave of 49 houses near Columbus are based on Frank Lloyd Wright's Usonian model - small, horizontal homes with bare walls and an emphasis on nature. Fifty years after its founding, Rush Creek is vigilantly maintained by its residents. (Michael Houghton/The New York Times)
