In a pastoral letter issued last week by Bishop Michael J. Sheridan of the Diocese of Colorado Springs, Bishop Sheridan said that American Catholics should not receive communion if they vote for politicians who support abortion rights, stem-cell research, euthanasia or same-sex marriage.
