(NYT4) BAGHDAD, Iraq -- Oct. 7, 2003 -- IRAQ-2 -- Iraqi children look though an opening on a gate while U.S. soldiers stand guard in a neighborhood where Shia Muslims were protesting, Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003. Across the city, U.S. solders were met with a demonstration by Shiite Muslims after closing a mosque and allegedly arresting the imam.
