(NYT30) RED BANK, N.J. -- Oct. 24, 2003 -- WALMART -- Victor Zavala Jr. and his wife Eunice, outside their home in Red Bank, N.J., on Oct. 24, 2003. Zavala, identified by federal agents as an illegal immigrant from Mexico, told Wal-Mart workers that he and four others employed by a cleaning contractor worked at the Wal-Mart in Old Bridge every night of the year, except Christmas and New Year's Eve.
