(NYT34) WOODBURY, N.Y. -- October 22, 2003 -- GOODLOOKS-MAKEOVERS-2 -- Cosmetic surgery used to be something patients hid or lied about, slipping into hospitals in the dead of night and recovering from surgery behind closed doors. But now, patients are feting themselves with "coming-out'' parties and surgeons are showing off their patients like artists at a gallery opening.
