(NYT25) NEW YORK -- Sept. 7, 2003 -- 9-11-POLL-3 -- Antonio DeJesus, 38, right, a salesman at Brooks Brothers at 1 Liberty Plaza, which faces the fallen towers, along with co-worker Jackeline Davis, left, outside Brooks Brothers, Sept. 3, 2003. The day the store reopened on the afternoon of the first anniversary of the attacks last September, DeJesus and Davis, stood in the middle of the store; together they said a prayer for the dead. "We prayed for the souls,'' says DeJesus. From then on, he says, he looked forward, never back. Davis, who was also back selling shirts last September, says her life resumed. "I'm moving along," she says. But she feels more haunted than DeJesus. (Suzanne DeChillo/The New York Times)
