(NYT23) NEW YORK -- Sept. 2, 2003 -- CABARET-THEATER-2 -- The Roundabout Theater Company's revival of "Cabaret'' at Studio 54 is leaving without having worn out its welcome. But beyond the show itself, it is the third-longest-running revival ever on Broadway, after "Chicago'' and "Oh! Calcutta!'' -- and has quietly enriched the world of the stage (and to some degree the screen) in ways that not many shows can claim. A stagehand, Robert Murzi, prepared the stage at Henry Miller's Theater for the opening of the Roundabout Theater Company's revival of "Cabaret'' in 1998. (Sara Krulwich/The New York Times)
