(NYT14) NEW YORK -- Aug. 15, 2002 -- ADV. FOR SUN. AUG. 18 -- AERIAL-DANCE -- From Aug. 22 to Aug. 26, in "Picture Red Hook," dancers from the Zaccho Dance Theater will be scaling the heights of a 12-story grain terminal in the Red Hook area of Brooklyn, N.Y.. The San Francisco-based dancers will be strapped into harnesses clipped to ropes attached to steel at the top of the building. The show is a result of several years' preparation to create a performance work involving the community. The area, which includes the Red Hook Houses, a large public housing unit, is a blue-collar neighborhood in transition.
